Medium-fruity, first-class organic olive oil from the Kontogiannis family, unfiltered and natural. The family's olive groves and vineyards are located at the foothills of ancient Corinth in the Peloponnese in Greece. The Kontogiannis family brings together the entire spectrum of the Corinthian terroir through the biodynamic cultivation of various plots at different altitudes. The olive trees bear olives of the Manaki and Koroneiki varieties. The small estate has been cultivated biodynamically since 2006. The olive trees are not artificially irrigated, the plants are closely monitored and strengthened with herbal decoctions. To promote biodiversity and prevent soil erosion, Theodorus Kontogiannis collects and propagates seeds from endemic wild herbs and flowers and spreads them on his plots. QUALITY ANALYSIS (extract) from 23.12.2024: Free fatty acid content: 0.22 % / Peroxide value: 6.8 meq O2/kg / K232: 2.021 / K268: 0.136 / DeltaK : -0.004 / Polyphenols (total) 447 mg/kg. Single-variety and single-vintage bottling. Harvest November 2024. The olive oil is unfiltered and natural, therefore a slight sediment may form. We recommend this medium-fruity olive oil with warm meat and vegetable dishes as well as with jacket potatoes and antipasti with fresh light-colored bread. The label is made from environmentally friendly bagasse, unbleached and without protective varnish.
