Kyoto Matcha

ARCHE Organic Kyoto Matcha is a matcha for a very special indulgence: after shading, only the tender, young shoots of the tea bush are slowly and gently ground in stone mills to produce this uniquely rich powdered tea. The exquisite quality comes from the legendary Uji growing region, the home of the most famous Japanese green teas. Kyoto Matcha has an intense green color, a particularly multi-faceted, aromatic and fresh taste and a gentle, subtle sweetness. Matcha is the tea of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony and is valued today not only for its delicious taste but also for its high EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) content.
Preparation: Pour 150-200 ml of boiled water cooled to 60°C over 1/2 teaspoon (approx. 1 g) of matcha in a bowl to taste. Whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk for a few seconds until a fine, delicious foam forms.
