Kontogiannis family - Organic extra virgin olive oil - This mild to medium fruity organic olive oil of the highest quality comes from the Kontogiannis family from the heart of the Peloponnese. The olive groves and vineyards are located at the foothills of ancient Corinth, a region with thousands of years of agriculture and a unique terroir. Through the biodynamic cultivation of several plots at different altitudes, the Kontogiannis family combines the entire aromatic spectrum of the Corinthian terroir in one oil. Only olives of the traditional Manaki and Koroneiki varieties are processed, which give the oil its balanced structure, fine fruitiness and elegant mildness. The small estate has been consistently cultivated biodynamically since 2006. The olive trees grow without artificial irrigation, are carefully monitored and strengthened with natural herbal infusions. Special attention is paid to promoting biodiversity: Theodorus Kontogiannis specifically collects seeds of endemic wild herbs and flowers, propagates them and sows them on his plots - to protect the soil, prevent erosion and create a living ecosystem.
